I am the youngest of 3 and my mom would pack me up, along with all her art supplies, and tote me around to her fine art classes. I was still too young for school and she was finishing her degree. Thankfully for her, it was probably the only time I ever sat still. Watching an artist work was incredible. It is where I was introduced to light, composition, and an artist’s vision.
My exposure to art set the wheels of creativity in motion and led me here. It also helped form how I document weddings, with their unscripted tender moments and real emotion. Sometimes, its the unexpected seconds that can become the most beautiful memories.
I've been photographing weddings for over 8 years and have never left behind the artistic principles my mother has helped instill in me all my life. Its with this knowledge and my love of wedding photography that Gina and I have come together to help you create a rewarding and successful business creating meaningful images. I've mentored photography student and other photographers. Now we’d like to share with you the most comprehensive guide we’ve ever created to help elevate your own photography and business. So, give yourself a second to take it in, and then lets get working on that business.
There was a moment, at age 12, when I was more interested in documenting my friends than participating in what they were doing. I was there and hanging out, but being behind the camera was usually more fulfilling. I don’t remember the details, but I remember the feeling. Thankfully, my mom was super supportive and trusted me with her manual SLR camera and even encouraged me to start taking photography classes at our local art college in the summer. I continued to practice and study photography throughout my teen years. It was during a summer art program at Cornell University that my path to become a photographer became clear.
I went on to study documentary photography at the Maryland Institute of Art and abroad at the University of Wales, where I won the Nikon Discovery Award Grand Prize and was named one of the 25 Under 25 Up-and-Coming American Photographers. I created recognized bodies of work and taught multiple age groups the art of photography, both nationally and internationally for fifteen years. Frankly, wedding and lifestyle photography wasn’t in the plans. But then a friend asked me to assist at a wedding she was photographing, and my plans changed in an instant. I realized weddings allowed me to capture the moments I love most – those full of life, love and connection. Quickly, that one wedding turned into a joyous and fulfilling career.

5-stars really doesn't do Gina justice. During the beginning of our engagement, I combed through well over a-hundred different photographer portfolios. And each one just felt really cliché or like a stock-photo from Getty. That is, until we came across Gina's. From the very first image in her portfolio, you could tell that Gina wasn't just another cliché photographer. Flipping through her book was like flipping through an editorial piece in Time magazine. Gina has a way of capturing these very real and human moments that you just can't stage. It was as if she always knew how to be at the right place at the time. After our initial call, it was clear that it was either Gina or bust.
We cannot recommend Angie enough. Everything about working with her was stress-free and reassuring. Then she sent along our photos and blew me away.
I'm not sure how she captured every moment from our wedding day, but she didn't miss a thing. I'm at a loss for what else to say because you can only say it was perfection in so many ways.

Working with Gina as our wedding photographer was one of the highlights of the wedding, and also maybe the only one that was completely stress free. From the first time I talked to Gina I knew I was in good hands. She was so caring and invested in our vision. She is meticulous, and her work is perfect. PERFECT. Our photos were more amazing than we ever could have imagined. She somehow captured every detail, every emotion, every old person's fabulous wrinkle! We saw things in her photos that we never knew were happening around us and everything we hoped she would capture, she made even more amazing than we remember. What a gift to have all of these memories persevered with her incredible skill.

Best photographer ever! Angie was so professional and responsive before and after our wedding day. She arrived early and was able to capture all of precious moments from behind the scenes and was even able to make us laugh. She was so pleasant to have around and made everyone feel so comfortable. She was able capture the most beautiful candid shots too. When it came down to our photos, WOW, just WOW! They are the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen.
